La fiesta más grande de Barcelona, La Merce, comenzará mañana 23 de Septiembre y continuará hasta el domingo, 27 de Septiembre. Están programadas cerca de 600 actividades en más de 30 escenarios repartidos por todo Barcelona. Incluyen espectáculos de teatro, circo, danza, música y varios actos tradicionales y deportivos. La Merce celebra a la Virgen de la Merced y se ha celebrado desde el año 1871. La fiesta popular es un espectáculo muy grande y esperamos que todos nuestros residentes de MelonDistrict puedan asistir eventos por toda la ciudad.

The largest celebration in Barcelona, La Merce, will begin tomorrow, 23rd of September and will continue until Sunday, September 27th. There are almost 600 activities planned during the celebration with more than 30 stages set all over Barcelona. These stages will include theater, circus, dance, music, traditional, and sport shows. The celebration is meant to commemorate the Virgin of Merced and has been celebrated since 1871. The popular street party is a grand spectacle and we hope that all our MelonDistrict residents are able to assist!

More and more students are arriving at MelonDistrict Marina to start the new school year. Up to now we have more than 50 different nationalities, some from neighboring countries in Europe and others from further locations such as America. All our students come with different programs, stay different lengths of time, and have different goals. Many of our students are doing their undergraduate years while others are pursuing a postgraduate degree.

Como van pasando los días llegan más y más estudiantes a MelonDistrict Marina para comenzar el nuevo año escolar. Ya tenemos estudiantes de más de 50 diferentes nacionalidades, algunos de otros países Europeos y otros de sitios más lejanos como países de América. Todos nuestros estudiantes vienen con diferentes programas, se quedan diferentes periodos de tiempo y tienen diferentes metas. Varios de nuestros estudiantes están en sus primeros años de Universidad mientras otros están estudiando el postgrado.

MelonDistrict Marina Opened its Doors September 1, 2009!

MelonDistrict is proud to announce that MelonDistrict Marina has opened its doors to its students. Many students moved in yesterday as they prepared to begin their studies in Barcelona. MelonDistrict Marina is now the largest student residence hall in Barcelona with a unique and modern style that differentiates it from the rest. We wish all our students a great time during their stay in Barcelona and look forward to housing them in MelonDistrict.
