El pasado 14 de Octubre MelonDistrict celebró la particular fiesta “Meet the Melon People 2010”, donde los estudiantes de las residencias tienen la oportunidad de conocer a los otros residentes con quienes compartirán este semestre o todo el año académico. Sin duda fue una noche de diversión acompañada de buena música y mucho entusiasmo por parte de los estudiantes.

Gracias a todos los que participaron en la dinámica de encontrar a su pareja durante la noche y en especial a los que se animaron a concursar. Felicidades a los ganadores de la noche Ángela, Adam, Selin y Juan Camilo, quienes por su actuación ganaron un pase gratis a la próxima actividad de la residencia: el MelonDistrict Paint Ball.

Celebrating “Meet the Melon people 2010″
Last 14th October, MelonDistrict gave its special party “Meet the Melon People 2010”, where the residences’ students get a chance to meet other residents whom they are going to spend the next semester or year with. The night was most definitely fun, accompanied by good music and plenty of enthusiasm from everyone.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the “find your other half” activity, and in particular those couples who ventured to take part in the competition. Congratulations to the night’s winners: Ángela, Adam, Selin and Juan Camilo, who, thanks to their performance, won a free pass to the residence’s next activity: MelonDistrict Paintball.

Soirée “Meet the Melon people 2010″
Le 14 octobre dernier, MelonDistrict a célébré sa soirée spéciale “Meet the Melon People 2010”, qui est pour les étudiants des résidences l’occasion de rencontrer les autres résidents avec lesquels ils vont partager le trimestre ou l’année universitaire. La nuit a été incontestablement animée, sur un fond de bonne musique et avec un plein d’enthousiasme estudiantin.
Merci à tous ceux qui ont joué le jeu de l’animation « trouvez votre alter ego » pendant la soirée, et en particulier aux duos qui se sont risqués à participer au concours. Félicitations aux gagnants : Ángela, Adam, Selin et Juan Camilo, qui, pour leurs représentations, ont gagné un passe gratuit pour la prochaine activité de la résidence : le Paintball MelonDistrict.

El pasado sábado 9 de octubre 2010 los residentes de MelonDistrict descubrieron Barcelona en Bicicleta.

Barrio Gótico, Palau de la Musica, El Borne, Barceloneta, Parc de la Ciutadella, Casa Batlló y Casa Milá de Gaudí, Plaza España fueron algunas de los puntos del tour.

Al completar el recorrido la diversión siguió en Nevermind cerca de Plaza Real donde se terminó la noche con un excelente ambiente.

MelonDistrict goes cycling around Barcelona
Last Saturday, 9th October 2010, the MelonDistrict residents went off to explore Barcelona on two wheels.
Barrio Gótico, Palau de la Musica, El Borne, Barceloneta, Parc de la Ciutadella, Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and Casa Milá, and Plaza España were some of the highlights of the tour.
After completing the ride, the fun went on all through the night at Nevermind, near Plaza Real, in a great atmosphere.

MelonDistrict fait le tour de Barcelone en vélo
Samedi dernier, 9 octobre 2010, les résidents de MelonDistrict ont découvert Barcelone à vélo.
Barrio Gótico, Palau de la Musica, El Borne, Barceloneta, Parc de la Ciutadella, Casa Batlló et Casa Milá de Gaudí, et Plaza España ne sont que quelques-uns des sites parcourus.
Une fois la balade terminée, la fête à continué au Nevermind, près de la Plaza Real où la nuit s’est achevée dans une ambiance excellente.

El pasado 2 de octubre las residencias Melon District celebraron el 1er torneo Volley Ball Playa frente al Club Náutico de la Marbella.

Estudiantes de distintas partes del mundo compitieron en el torneo disfrutando de una agradable mañana de sábado y terminando con un partido amistoso.

Al terminar el torneo Barcelona nos hizo un regalo espectacular, La Festa Al Cel, un festival aéreo donde pudimos disfrutar de las magníficas acrobacias de los pilotos.

Felicidades a los ganadores, gracias a todos los participantes y gracias a la organización por hacernos pasar un buen sábado en la playa.

First MelonDistrict Beach Volleyball Tournament
Last 2nd October, the MelonDistrict residences held their First Beach Volleyball tournament outside the Marbella beach Water Club.

Students from around the world competed in the tournament and all had a lovely Saturday morning, which ended with a friendly game.

Prizes awarded:
Best Uniform: LEFTY LAW Team
Best Player: AHDIEH ASHRAFI (Ecuador)
Beach Volleyball Tournament Winning Team: UMPF Team

After the competition, we got a spectacular gift from the city of Barcelona, La Festa Al Cel, a sky festival where we enjoyed some amazing aerobatics.

Congratulations to the winners, thank you to all the participants and thank you to the organisers for giving us a great day at the beach.

Premier tournoi de volley-ball de plage Melon District
Le 2 octobre dernier, les résidences de Melon District ont organisé leur premier tournoi de volley-ball de plage en face du Club nautique de la Marbella.

Des étudiants originaires des quatre coins du monde ont participé au tournoi et passé une agréable matinée de samedi, qui s’est clôturée par un match amical.

Prix décernés :
Meilleur uniforme : Equipe LEFTY LAW
Meilleur joueur : AHDIEH ASHRAFI (Equateur)
Equipe gagnante du tournoi de volley-ball de plage : UMPF

Une fois le tournoi terminé, la ville de Barcelone nous a fait un cadeau spectaculaire : La Festa al cel, un festival aérien où nous avons pu assister à de superbes numéros de voltige.

Félicitations aux gagnants et merci à tous les participants ainsi qu’aux organisateurs pour nous avoir fait passer un excellent samedi à la plage.
