Melon District es patrocinador de un equipo de fútbol sala conformado por residentes, quienes han entrado a un torneo de liga que se lleva a cabo los sábados por las tardes.
Esta la liga es organizada por el grupo “deportis”, y comenzó en el mes de Octubre 2012.

Al día de hoy, un mes de que termine la liga, estamos contentos de anunciar que el equipo de Melon District se encuentra en tercer lugar, y a un solo punto de diferencia con el primer y segundo lugar.

El jugador estrella del equipo o “el jugón” como lo llaman en deportis, es Nacho Rodríguez quién ha ganado en varias ocasiones el pichichi por ser uno de los mejores jugadores de la liga.

Melon District is sponsoring a football team integrated by residents who have registered in a league tournament which takes place Saturdays afternoon. This league is organized by the group “deportis”, and it started in the month of October 2012.

Today, one month before the end of the league, we are happy to announce that the Melon District team is in third place and they are just one point below the first and second place.

The team’s best player is Nacho Rodriguez who has won several times the title of the top scorer of the match.

¡Un gran cierre de carnavales fue lo que vivimos el pasado martes 12 de Febrero en Sitges! Más de 100 residentes de Melon District han ido a vivir esta gran experiencia.

Ha habido muchísimos disfraces originales y creativos, pero hemos premiado a dos de ellos: Maria Martinez disfrazada como “el sombrero loco de Alicia en el país de las maravillas”, y a Diego Quintanilla quien iba como “abuela asturiana”.
El premio ha sido un pase para el viaje programado a las Fallas de Valencia el día 16 de marzo 2013.

A great carnival closure what we live last Tuesday February 12 in Sitges! Over 100 residents of Melon District have been gone to live this great experience.

There were many creative and original costumes, but we have awarded just two of them which were the better for us: Maria Martinez dressed as “the Mad Hatter of Alice in Wonderland”, and Diego Quintanilla who were dressed like an “Asturian grandma”.
The prize for each one was a free pass for our scheduled trip to the “Fallas de Valencia” on March 16th.

Detrás de la vanguardista Fábrica Moritz Barcelona, recientemente rehabilitada por el famoso arquitecto Jean Nouvel, se esconde la primera fábrica de cerveza más antigua de la Península Ibérica.

Melon District te invita a conocerla este próximo viernes 22 de Febrero, en una visita que propone un viaje en el tiempo. Un viaje que revive el sueño de Louis Moritz, un inmigrante alsaciano que en 1851 llega a la capital catalana para fabricar cerveza, una bebida entonces muy desconocida en Barcelona.

Behind the vanguardist Barcelona’s Moritz Factory, recently restored by the famous architect Jean Nouvel, it is hide the first and the oldest brewery of the Iberian Peninsula.

Melon District invites you next Friday 22, February, to a visit that proposes a time travel. A journey to revive the dream of Louis Moritz, an Alsatian immigrant who in 1851 arrived to the Catalan capital for brewing beer, a drink quite unknown in Barcelona by then.
