Corteo es el espectáculo creado y dirigido por Daniele Finzi Pasca, que se estrenó en Montreal en abril de 2005, y ahora después de su gran éxito en 35 ciudades de siete países distintos, viene a Barcelona del 20 de Enero 2012 al 12 de Febrero en el Grand Chapiteau (Gran Carpa) blanco situado en la plataforma del Zoo Marino.

El tema de Corteo (que significa “cortejo” en italiano), es la historia de un payaso que imagina su propio funeral en un ambiente carnavalesco. Se monta todo un desfile lleno de alegría, y una procesión festiva que es solo producto de su imaginación.
Lo que parece ser una trama un poco funesta, se convierte en toda una fiesta con angelitos vigilando la procesión y toda una colorida gama de personajes circenses listos para despedir con su especial estilo al payaso.

La escenografía y el decorado de Corteo, junto con la pasión de los actores, y la elegancia y fuerza de los acróbatas llevará al público a un mundo teatral de diversión, comedia y espontaneidad situado en un espacio misterioso entre el cielo y la tierra.

Corteo is a show created and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, which was debuted in Montreal on april of 2005, and now after its big success in 35 cities of seven different countries, will be presented in Barcelona from January 20th, 2012, to the 12 of Februaryat the “Grand Chapiteau” (big carp) white located at the Marine Zoo platform.

The subject of Corteo (which means “cortege” in Italian) is the story of a clown which imagines his own funeral in a kind of a carnival atmosphere. He imagines a parade full of joy, and a festive procession. What appears to be a sort of a dismal story becomes a party with little angels watching the procession and the whole range of colorful circus characters ready to say goodbye to the clown.

The stage design and decor of Corteo, with the passion of the actors, and the grace and power of the acrobats will bring the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.
