There are several ways of getting from Barcelona Airport to the city centre:

By train:



RENFE’s www.aena.es. train service between Barcelona Airport and the city centre runs approximately every 30 minutes. It stops at the Barcelona-Sants y Barcelona-Plaza Catalunyastations, right in the city centre. From either of those you can easily access Barcelona’s underground rail network, the popular “Metro”.

In the Barcelona ? Airport journey, the train leaves you about 5 minutes’ walk from the airport main entrance. A pedestrian conveyor covers most of the way, making carrying luggage easier and faster.

Aerobús:



Aerobús is a bus service that connects Barcelona airport to the city centre. It runs every 15 minutes. You can catch the Aerobús at the airport and alight at Plaza de España or Plaza Cataluña, right in the city centre. Both are squares with their own Metro stations whose lines can take you practically anywhere in the city.

Taxi:



Taxis are a convenient and fairly inexpensive way of getting to the city centre from the airport, especially if you are travelling with your family or with a lot of luggage. There are taxi ranks outside each of the airport terminals' main entrances. The journey between the airport and the centre takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

You can easily identify Barcelona metropolitan taxis thanks to their distinctive black and yellow colours. There is a surcharge for each piece of luggage as well as a fixed supplement for airport pickup. In any case, taxi fares are clearly displayed inside the vehicle.

international airport is located about an hour north of Barcelona. The only airline operating from this airport is the low-cost carrier Ryanair (www.ryanair.com),which flies to over 20 European destinations at very inexpensive prices.
