The new Poble Sec facilities include a nine-storey building capable of accommodating over 100 residents which will open in September 2007. It is situated in the well-known Avenida del Paralelo, within a stone’s throw of the Barcelona marina, Las Ramblas and Montjuïc, in one word, very close to the city’s nerve centre for both tourism and everyday activities.
Paralelo and Poble Sec are both neighbourhoods of the Montjuïc district. Paralelo is an avenue that runs from Plaza de España (square) and comes out onto the marina opposite the World Trade Centre building. The so-called Poble Sec is a popular urban neighbourhood that starts approximately half-way down Avenida del Paralelo.
