The PobleNou Neighbourhood

In the 1960s, an intense deindustrialisation process began in Barcelona whereby large plots of land were freed up, soon to be occupied by transport companies, printing works, large workshops and warehouses of all kinds.

The 1992 Olympic Games triggered spectacular changes in the neighbourhood, turning it into one of the most alluring and modern residential areas in the city. This neighbourhood is being promoted through the 22@ city project which is underway on either side of the historical heart of PobleNou.
