Barcelona casts its spell over thousands and thousands of travelers every year. All are lured in by the chance to experience this city, with its amazing architecture - headlined by the work of Antoni Gaudí - its attractive beaches, and the great range of cultural, leisure and sports events the city has to offer. Some even come to the city just to see FC Barcelona in action at the mighty Camp Nou.
Barcelona is the city of Gaudí, so a route taking in his top buildings is a must. Start off with a visit to the Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, and then stroll down to another of his most famous residential buildings, the Casa Batlló. Finish off the route at the Palau Güell . The latter was built as a home for the Güell family and is a UNESCO World Heritage list. The Sagrada Familia could obviously be added to the route, but given its location, it is better reached by bus or metro.
