In 2014, The Student Hotel secured €150Mn funding from US leading private equity fund Perella Weinberg to expand the business throughout Europe, and another €100Mn from APG (leading Dutch pension fund) in 2015. Backed by top tier investments fund, the target is to operate at least 10,000 rooms by 2020. This implies an aggressive and ambitious expansion strategy led by the corporate development team which seeks to acquire 10-12 new projects over the next 1-2 years.

Your Role:

The Student Hotel is looking for an intern (minimum of 6 months, longer period preferred) to join the corporate development team and be a key contributor to the European expansion of the company. This is a role for someone who wants to work in a very demanding and entrepreneurial environment (but backed by leading private equity firms) with the mentality to help build one of the leading European hotel chains in Europe. The position is suited for a quick learner, with a hands-on approach and who is capable to work under pressure on various projects directly reporting to the senior management. The position is based in Amsterdam and requires travel in Europe.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

- Performing analyses in the sourcing processes of UK or pan-European investment opportunities including valuation, cash-flow and operating models
- Assisting the corporate development team in research, modeling, analyses, due diligence, execution of transactions
- Preparing, updating and running financial models
- Preparing investment memorandum, general marketing materials, etc. - Liaising with external partners including lenders, administrators, lawyers, tax advisors etc.
- Day-to-day work will be varied and comprise a mix of sourcing, execution, meetings with advisors, preparing analyses and administration Skills & Experience
- Previous internship experience in either M&A / consulting (top tier consulting firm), transaction services or corporate development
- About to graduate from a top tier business school, engineering school or university with outstanding academic qualifications
- Ability to prepare complex financial analyses and models
- Strong corporate finance, quantitative and technical skills
- Outstanding Excel skills, PowerPoint and Word
- Capacity to interact directly with senior management
- Self-motivated and self-starter; ability to take the lead, work under pressure and perform under tight deadlines
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is an advantage (Italian, Spanish, French, German is a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Naturally curious, innovative and constantly looking for ways to improve upon things
- Willing to be based in Amsterdam, able to travel and eligible to work in the EU

Modalities:
The internship would start as soon as possible for a minimum of 6 months (longer period preferred) and could potentially be followed by a hiring in the development team.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

Human Resources:
o First line of contact to support employees on HR and payroll related questions
o Maintain and update HR documentation, update employee details
o Payroll Management: preparing payslips taking into account holidays, incentives, night hours and any other matter which affects the payroll
o Relation with external labor consultant in Barcelona and Paris for payslip preparation, hiring and dismissals
o Control of vacation days
o Responsible for the labor risk prevention regulation (medical revisions, fire evacuation)
o Supporting the Live the Brand University (planning, coordination, training, etc)
o Supporting day-to-day operations of HR and support in projects such as trainings, events, appraisal etc

Office Management:
o Travels, phones, office expenses, purchase of materials and uniforms
o Expense reports
o Coordination with external IT company
o General assistance to Executive Team
o Maintenance of office premises
o Control of office expenses and budget
o Organizing the office layout and supply stationery and equipment


Administration:
o Revision of Monthly sales from PMS to integrate in the Accounting System
o Integration of accounting information to the Reporting System
o Conciliation and collection from Online Travel Agencies
o Cash counting at the Residences: receptionists’ petty cash, coordination of cash collection by external company


About you

You are a sparkling personality, super organized, accurate and bursting with energy moreover you:

- Ideally 2-3 working experience in Human Resources (Support, Administration and payroll)
- Have a bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or similar
- Enjoy working in a growing international hospitality company
- Good knowledge of the Spanish labor law
- Have integrity and be honest
- Bilingual in Spanish and English essential. French intermediate. Other language is a strong advantage (Dutch, French, Italian or Portuguese)
- Exceptional Excel skills
- Planning skills and the ability to work with deadlines with little supervision
- IT lover and capability of learning new systems rapidly (Human Resources, Property Management System and Accounting Systems)
- Pro-active, "hands-on", and "can-do" attitude with a rigorous and precise attitude capable to adapt to an entrepreneurial environment
- Eager to develop the skills on training and implementing Group processes

TÉCNICO DE MANTENIMIENTO - MELON DISTRICT MARINA

Te incorporarás a un equipo joven, cool & friendly, en una Residencia de 500 habitaciones, con 4 piscinas, cafetería, lavandería y un Meeting Lounge, en el que conviven Residentes de muchas nacionalidades y Viajeros de todo el mundo, donde podrás ayudarnos a que Melon District sea verdaderamente "a place to live!"

Formarás parte de una compañía con oportunidades en diferentes ciudades europeas y que con la ayuda del Maintenance Director, tus responsabilidades serán:

- Conocer y aplicar la normativa vigente de las distintas instalaciones.
- Conocer y aplicar los procesos y procedimientos internos del departamento de mantenimiento e interdepartamentales.
- Realización del mantenimiento correctivo diario.
- Realización del mantenimiento preventivo anual según programa.
- Colaboración en la realización del mantenimiento normativo anual.
- Realización de proyectos de mejora en la instalaciones.
- Colaboración en los proyectos de mejora de calidades del edificio.
- Conservación y mejora de habitaciones.
- Colaboración en la gestión de stock.

Requisitos:

- Se requiere experiencia de 2 años en mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo, preferiblemente desarrollada en edificios (hoteles, centros comerciales, hospitales...).

Ses principales missions

- effectuer la facturation
- effectuer le départ des clients selon les procédures établies.
- effectuer les réservations lors de la fermeture du service réservations

Profil recherché:

- Formation hôtelière pré ou post bac
- 1ère expérience validée en réception en hôtellerie
- Anglais indispensable, troisième langue appréciée

- Presentar e explicar las normativas y el funcionamiento de la residencia para que los estudiantes y/o a sus padres reserven una habitación.
- Seguimiento de la conversión de las visitas a reserva.
- Gestión de emails/pagos y reservas de los futuros residentes de la residencia.
- Ocasionalmente apoyar la gestión de reservas de estancias cortas.
